Kelly Saxberg is an award-winning film producer, director, editor, and cinematographer who has worked on well over 100 films. She works in English, French, Spanish and Finnish. Kelly has mentored dozens of emerging filmmakers in Thunder Bay by facilitating workshops, mentorships, and collaborative film projects since 2001.
Dr. Ron Harpelle
Director | Producer | Researcher
Dr. Ron Harpelle is an award-winning producer and director; and, he is a professor at Lakehead University. He has a special interest in documentaries and making Social Science research come alive through media. His projects focus on history and contain educational components.
Adrien Harpelle
Director | Audio Engineer
Adrien Harpelle is a filmmaker, audio engineer, and composer. He creates music and film with a focus on documentary, sound design and composition. He is a director with a background as editor, sound, and composer.
Alyssa Kusik
Creative Director
Alyssa Kusik is a filmmaker, and visual artist. She is an creative director and project coordinator. She specializes in graphics, color grading, and marketing.
Elizabeth Nunn
Line Producer | Administration
Liz Nunn is an Anthropology undergraduate student at Lakehead University with a passion for art and community. She is an administrator and line producer. She manages budgeting, bookkeeping, and coordination.
RJ Cayanga
Animation Director
RJ Cayanga is a storyboard artist, motion designer, and animator. As Animation Director he has mentored several animators and leads the animation team. His passion for animation has encouraged him to explore and innovate new visual and animation styles that continue to build his artistic identity.
Martin King
Animator
Martin King is a visual artist, filmmaker, and animator. He is an experienced storyboard artist that brings a project’s visions to paper. He produces his own films and works as an animator, storyboard artist, and character designer.
Dianne Brothers
Writer | Research
Dianne Brothers has now been involved in filmmaking in Thunder Bay for over a decade. Her award-winning films include The Scratch (2014), Long Walk Home: The Incredible Journey of Sheila Burnford (2017), A Toast to You (2023) and Mr. Noah and the Second Flood (2024). She is currently in pre-production on a film about Elizabeth Smellie, the first woman to achieve the rank of Colonel in the Canadian Army.
Derek Okeese
Editor | Sound
Derek Okeese is an editor, videographer, and composer. Beginning in 2018, he worked with multiple content creators on YouTube, Twitch, and Instagram. He has since transitioned into documentary film, oral history, and fiction. He edited the film ‘Journey to our Homeland’ which won for Research at the Yorkton Film Festival in 2023.
